German subsidy scheme
In Germany, the government has introduced a subsidy scheme that makes it attractive to buy green cars. This means, among other things, that Germans can buy electric cars with financial support of up to 7,500 euros.
The condition for receiving the lump sum is that the car must not be resold until it is six months old. It is therefore also only when the car has been registered in Germany for six months that the sum of money is paid out.
“New” used electric cars
Due to the subsidy scheme, many Germans replace their electric car after only six months, and this means that the German car market contains a large number of electric cars that are almost brand new.
However, it is important to note that the car must always have driven a minimum of 2,000 kilometers or be more than four years old before it is considered used.
Fast delivery time
In a market that is pressured by production and delivery challenges, it can in many cases make good sense to import your electric car if you want a shorter delivery time.
By importing your next car, you can shorten the delivery time by 6 to 12 months – which is currently a reality if you are going to buy a brand new electric car.
Larger selection and more equipment

At the same time, the German market is characterized by the fact that many of the cars typically contain more extra equipment than we are used to on the Danish market – another advantage that makes it attractive to import electric cars.
